Terms of Service

Sparrow ("we", "us", "our") is a daily Bible-verse memorisation app for children, operated as part of the Bible Project initiative. By creating an account or using Sparrow you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Sparrow is designed for children aged 5–15, used with the supervision and account of a parent or legal guardian. Only adults (18+) may create an account. By creating an account you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of any child profile you set up, and you provide the necessary parental consent on their behalf.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Don't misuse Sparrow. That includes: attempting to break or interfere with the service, scraping content beyond what is publicly intended, uploading harmful content, impersonating others, or using Sparrow in any unlawful way.

Sparrow is free for every child. Optional contributions (one-time or monthly) help us maintain and grow the service. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never store your full card details. Monthly contributions can be cancelled at any time from your profile. Refunds for one-time contributions can be requested within 14 days by contacting us.

Verse text is drawn from public-domain or freely-licensed translations, attributed in the app's credits section. Explanations and lesson content are © Sparrow, provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

Some features (translations, voice readings, explanations) use third-party AI providers including Lovable AI Gateway and ElevenLabs. We do not send personally identifying information about your child to these providers — only the verse text and language.

Sparrow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Sparrow will not exceed the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months (which may be zero).

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and shown in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
